

Matt has been a practicing trial attorney in Western New York for over three decades. After graduating from Canisius College, he earned his law degree from the University of Detroit School of Law. He brings years of experience in civil litigation to Seaman Law and has tried dozens of high value civil matters through to jury verdict. Additionally, Matt has handled thousands of personal injury claims from the initial summons and complaint, through the discovery and deposition process and settlement. He comes to Seaman Law from Lippman O’Connor where he served as their senior trial attorney. His extensive experience working for insurance companies defending personal injury claims puts him in a unique position to advocate for clients who have been injured due to another’s negligence. Matt knows the innerworkings of the insurance industry and will leverage that knowledge to achieve the best settlement for his clients.
Matt also focuses on estate planning and estate administration. He has developed an expertise in preserving his client’s assets for their families and specializes in the formation of Irrevocable Trusts, Medicaid Asset Protection Trusts, Supplemental/Special Needs Trusts, Revocable Trusts, Wills and Power of Attorney documents. He also focuses his practice on representing executors, executrixes and administrators of estates before the New York State Surrogates Court, where he helps navigate the efficient administration of the estates of loved ones who have passed away.
In addition to practicing in New York State courts, Matt is admitted to practice in the Western and Northern Districts of New York, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the US Supreme Court. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Niagara County Bar Association and the Erie County Bar Association.
